an institution around these parts or years. As research time became more
scarce, we let it lapse, but by the grace of a Gordie Hull Hat Trick, it's
back!
We don't recommend that any of these feats be attempted at home,
nor do we suggest that you you these fine folks as role models for your
children.

Sydney Crosby - Pittsburgh
Penguins
The NHL's anointed poster child is threatening to skip this
year's NHL All Star Game in protest for the league's failure to suspend David
Steckel of the Washington Capitals after Steckel a hit allegedly contributed to
concussion symptoms. Crosby also took a shot to the dome from Victor Hedman of
the Tampa Bay Lightning four days later.
According to the Globe and
Mail, Crosby's agent Pat Grisson is hinting toward the boycott.
"Brisson said he believes Crosby suffered the concussion, which was the first
of his career, as a result of the first hit by Steckel. There was some
controversy because the Penguins said the concussion came after the second hit,
by Hedman. The Penguins were criticized for allowing Crosby to play after the
Steckel hit, but Brisson said the only symptom he felt at first was a sore
neck. Brisson said both he and Crosby think the Penguins' medical staff handled
the situation properly."
If Crosby were to pass on the game, the earth
might stand still, which would create bigger issues for man-kind. If that
doesn't happen, it's believed the league would still hold the game. It also
means that some unsuspecting player in the league would lose out on a three-day
break and be forced to play in the league's meaningless get together.
