Sean Avery - Dallas
Stars
Avery committed the ultimate sin about professional athletes
by dragging other players through the mud in a public display worthy of a
public flogging. Avery was in the Dallas Stars lockerroom at the Saddledome in
Calgary prior to the Stars contest agains the Flames.
Avery called
reporters to huddle, even checking to make sure a camera was on, before
launching his head scratching diatribe
"I am really happy to be back in
Calgary, I love Canada," Avery said. "I just want to comment on how it's become
like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds.
I don't know what that's about. Enjoy the game tonight."
Avery was
referring to former girlfriend and actress Elisha Cuthbert, who is currently
dating Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf.
