Sharks kickoff road trip with
win Boedker's 2nd period goal wins it for
SJ
Mikkel Boedker's goal with 4:06 left in the 2nd
period proved to be the game winner as San Jose held off the host St Louis
Blues at Scottrade Center on Tuesday in St Louis. All the game's scoring took
place in the 2nd period where San Jose was a single goal better.
Martin
Jones made 30 saves to outduel former Sharks prospect Carter Hutton. The Blues
fell behind the Sharks in the standings on the outcome. Hutton allowed three
goals on 23 shots to earn the loss.
LOgan Couture and Joonas Donaskoi
also scored for San Jose, who moved into 4th in the Western Conference, while
holding the 2nd position in the Pacific Division.
