Statistically
Speaking Letting the numbers tell the
story
The Sharks lead in the most important statistic in
the NHL, standings points. With 10 wins, a regulation loss (just barely), and a
shootout loss, the Sharks have amassed 21 points to lead all NHL teams. At the
end of the day, how they perform in the playoffs is really the only thing that
matters, but you have to get there. Securing home ice is also a major
advantage. Consider that the Sharks have yet to lose in 5 home games this
season, and it's easy to see why home ice matters.
There's not much
more to expound on when it comes to NHL standings. You're either in the top 8
(playoff qualifiers), or you're not. With that said, let's have some fun and
take a look at where the team and individual Sharks sit among the league
leaders in a variety of statistics.
