Sergei Samsonov - Boston
Bruins
Samsonov was forced to return to Boston while the of his Bruin
teammates went on to Toronto on Sunday morning because his Russian passport had
expired, the Boston Globe reported in Monday's editions.
"It's being
remedied as we speak," Bruins general manager Mike O'Connell said Sunday night.
"There's not much to it, really; he let it expire and now he has to get a new
one."
According to O'Connell, the process of getting a passport updated
is a little slower in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
"But everything should work out in time," said O'Connell, "and we fully
expect (Samsonov) will be in the lineup (Tuesday) night." |
